For over five years, Katie has been experimenting with extracting color onto cotton, linen, silk and wool fibers using food scraps, foraged and cultivated herbs, barks, flowers, leaves, cones, hulls, wood shavings, mushrooms, lichen. She occasionally hosts dye gatherings and workshops. Some of Katie’s Fiber Arts teachers are Lana Hall, Heidi Iverson, Sasha Duerr and Alissa Allen.
